Cookie Policy
Last updated 10 October 2026
This Cookie Policy applies to everyone who visits medoteca.com (the “Website”), operated by Kodrium S.R.L. It explains what cookies are, what we use, and what choices you have. Please read it together with the Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a digital platform. They let the platform recognise your device on later visits and remember certain preferences or information.
2. Cookies on this Website
This Website sets no cookies of its own. The only cookies that can appear come from the analytics service described below, and only if you accept them.
| Category | Do we use it? |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary cookies | No - the preferences below are kept in localStorage |
| Functional cookies | No |
| Analytics / performance cookies | Only if you accept - Microsoft Clarity |
| Sign-in (authentication) cookies | No - the Website has no accounts |
| Marketing / advertising cookies | No - we show no ads, and ad storage is always refused |
3. Third-party cookies: Microsoft Clarity
We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the Website is used: which pages are visited, where people click and scroll, and where a page breaks or confuses. It helps us fix the Website; it is not used for advertising.
- It loads only after you press Accept. Until then, and if you reject, the Clarity script is not loaded at all and nothing is sent to Microsoft.
- Content masking: text you type into our forms and data shown on the page are masked and not recorded.
- Ads are always refused: we tell Clarity that ad storage is denied, whatever you choose.
- If you later withdraw consent, we tell Clarity to delete its cookies and stop recording.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_clck |
medoteca.com, for Clarity | Keeps a pseudonymous Clarity user ID for this Website | 1 year |
_clsk |
medoteca.com, for Clarity | Joins the pages you view into one session | 1 day |
CLID, MUID, MR, SM, ANONCHK |
Microsoft (clarity.ms, bing.com) | Identify the browser across Microsoft services and keep that ID in sync | Up to 1 year |
We embed no video, maps, chat widgets, social networks or payment processors.
Web fonts are served from this Website, not from Google Fonts or any other font CDN, so loading a page does not disclose your visit to a third party.
4. What is stored, and for how long
Apart from the Clarity cookies above, three values. Two sit in localStorage and are written
only when you act; they stay on your device until you clear site data. The third sits in
sessionStorage and disappears when you close the tab.
| Key | Set when | Purpose | Cleared |
|---|---|---|---|
theme |
you use the light/dark switch | remembers the colour scheme you picked | when you clear site data |
consent |
you answer the consent banner | remembers that answer so we stop asking | when you clear site data |
kdr-status |
a page shows the status dot in the header | keeps the public system status for one minute, so every page does not ask again | when you close the tab |
All three are read only by this site, are never sent to a server, and contain no personal data. None needs consent, because each is either something you chose or strictly necessary to show the page.
5. The bug report form stores nothing
Report a bug has input fields, so it is fair to ask what happens to them. Nothing: what you type is held in the page while you are on it and is gone when you leave.
- It is not saved to
localStorage,sessionStorage, a cookie or anywhere else. - It is not sent anywhere. Pressing the button builds a
mailto:link and hands it to your own mail application, which is what actually sends it. - Copy the report instead writes to your clipboard, and nothing leaves your device.
Because none of that is storage, it needs no consent - but it also means an accidental refresh loses what you typed, which is worth knowing before you write six paragraphs.
6. Cookies in the Medoteca software platform
The sections above describe medoteca.com, the public website. The Medoteca software platform - the application organisations sign in to - is a different application and uses the following cookies:
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SSO session cookie | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in through single sign-on | For the session / until you sign out | Not required |
| Analytics cookies | Analytics | Pseudonymously recognise the same browser and group the actions in a session, for usage statistics | From one day up to 1 year | Required |
The SSO cookie is strictly necessary: you cannot sign in without it, so it does not need consent.
Analytics cookies are set by a third-party usage analytics service that shows us how the platform is used (clicks, scrolling, pages visited, errors) so we can improve it. The service loads only after you press Accept in the platform’s cookie banner, which also names the provider currently in use. If you reject, the service does not run and no analytics cookies are set. You can withdraw consent at any time from the platform’s cookie settings.
The analytics service is configured with content masking: text you type and data shown on screen are not recorded. How this data is processed is described in the Privacy Policy.
Everything else in the platform (accounts, preferences, content your organisation enters) is covered by the agreement between us and the organisation you use it through.
7. Consent and control
On your first visit the consent banner tells you about this. You can:
- accept;
- reject - Reject is exactly as easy as Accept;
- change your answer at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.
Until you accept, Microsoft Clarity is not loaded. If you accept and later change your mind, Clarity’s cookies are deleted and recording stops. You can withdraw consent at any time, at no cost, without affecting what was collected before.
8. Managing it in your browser
You can control and delete stored data directly in your browser settings. Clear site data and the stored values and any Clarity cookies disappear; the theme then follows your operating system preference again, and the consent banner asks you again.
9. Your rights
As a user of this Website you have the rights set out in data protection law, namely:
- the right to be informed;
- the right of access;
- the right to rectification;
- the right to be forgotten;
- the right to restrict processing;
- the right to data portability;
- the right to object;
- the right not to be subject to an automated individual decision;
- the right to complain to the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).
See GDPR requests for detail.
10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. Adding another analytics provider, embedded media or any third-party widget would introduce new cookies; if that happens, this page, the Privacy Policy and the consent banner will be updated together. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
